Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPs)
OSB
OSB is made from fast-growing, small diameter trees that can be harvested from plantations, avoiding the need for cutting old growth trees. Even the smallest scraps of wood can be turned into OSB, virtually eliminating any waste.
POLYURETHANE
Once the air in a building is heated or cooled, polyurethane helps it stay in the building, helping to lower energy bills. Polyurethane can help building owners save on energy bills from the very first day of installation. Due to the ability to block air movement, polyurethane insulation creates a tight barrier around buildings, helping to block infiltration of pollen, dust, allergens and other irritating and unhealthy contaminants. Polyurethane also help to prevent moisture and condensation throughout the building envelop, which retards the growth of mold and mildew.
AIR QUALITY
SIP Panels release no volatile organic compounds (VOC’s). Because SIP built structures are built so air-tight, indoor air quality can be closely controlled. This is a huge advantage to anyone with environmental or chemical allergies.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY
SIP homes require 50% less energy to heat and cool thank stick frame homes meaning less fossil-fuel consumption and fever greenhouse gas emissions. The efficiency of a SIP building is a result of both the air-tight envelope the panels create and the sustainability higher R-value of SIPs when compared to stick-framed walls.
PODS
Bathroom pods offer a quick and easy solution. Traditionally constructed buildings have to line up trades to complete work which can be tricky and problematic with the number of trades involved, and snagging can be time consuming. Offsite construction is the perfect solution to this problem. Bathroom pods contribute to a cleaner and safer work environment, help reduce labor, materials, waste, and costs, and increase speed to occupancy.
