The Build offsite Property Assurance Scheme (BOPAS) is a risk based evaluation which demonstrates to funders, lenders, valuers and purchasers that homes built from non-traditional methods and materials will stand the test of time for at least 60 years. In consultation with the Council of Mortgage Lenders and the Building Societies Association, to provide assurance to the lending community that non-traditional and innovatively constructed systems for which they are asked to lend against, will be readily saleable for a minimum of 60 years.
